Law 20-86, the “Historic Music Cultural Institutions Expansion Tax Abatement Act of 2013,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 20-70. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on November 5, 2013, and December 3, 2013, respectively. Returned without the Mayor’s signature on January 6, 2014, it was assigned Act No. 20-256 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 20-86 became effective on February 22, 2014.
