Law 19-307, the “Safety-Based Traffic Enforcement Amendment Act of 2012,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 19-1013. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on December 4, 2012, and December 18, 2012, respectively. Enacted without signature of the Mayor on February 5, 2013, it was assigned Act No. 19-674 and transmitted to Congress for its review. D.C. Law 19-307 became effective on May 1, 2013.
