Law 16-190, the “Emerging Technology Opportunity Development Task Force Act of 2006”, was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 16-504, which was referred to the Committee on Economic Development. Signed by the Mayor on July 31, 2006, it was assigned Act No. 16-474 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 16-190 became effective on March 2, 2007.
