Law 15-239, the “Fleeing Law Enforcement Prohibition Amendment Act of 2004”, was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 15-759, which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. Signed by the Mayor on October 4, 2004, it was assigned Act No. 15-528 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 15-239 became effective on March 16, 2005.
