The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on June 29, 1993, and July 13, 1993, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on August 4, 1993, it was assigned Act No. 10-75 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 10-40 became effective on October 21, 1993.
